Yep.
It’s true. I did take photographs of our gardening efforts. Here are some of them:
Front o’ the house.
Proof positive.
Back of the house is pretty barren at this point.
Now for some close ups. We do have some exciting things going on. Lilacs, peonies, columbine, and rhododendron up now, and lilies and iris on the way.
I took this shot a few days prior. I did not know peonies could be blowsy quite on this scale, with blooms as big as my face.
One last thing: it’s true I haven’t made much of an appearance here of late. I have been diverting my energies on my blog and classroom pages thisaway (thanks, jmags, for the site) as I’m now officially gearing up for the Portland Open Studio Tour for this fall. So it hasn’t been all bon bons and manicures or anything…
